Privacy Policy

1. What we process

Selecting a recording previews it on your device. Starting conversion sends the file to our servers. We process the audio, conversion settings, generated PDF, MIDI, MusicXML and piano audio, and task identifiers, timestamps, status and technical reports. Recordings may contain voices or other personal information; only upload material you are entitled to share.

2. Why we use it

We use this information to perform your requested conversion, deliver downloads, recover interrupted tasks, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. The current service does not require an account or payment. We do not use your uploads to train our models, sell your recordings, or publish your results as examples.

3. Cookies and browser storage

The essential piano-session cookie authorizes access to your current task. It is a session cookie; browser session-restore settings may preserve it. We do not save task IDs or results in local storage. Results are held in the current page memory only. We do not install advertising cookies. We use Plausible, served through actone.app, to measure website visits and page navigation. Our integration does not send uploaded media, generated files, filenames or conversion IDs as analytics event properties.

4. Fair-use controls and technical data

Our hosting infrastructure receives connection information such as your IP address and request details. To enforce conversion limits, the application derives a keyed hash from your IP address (or IPv6 network prefix) and stores that identifier with task and quota records instead of storing the raw IP there. These identifiers are pseudonymous, not guaranteed anonymous. Short-term counters reset by time window or UTC day and are cleaned up by scheduled maintenance. Hosting and security logs may separately contain IP addresses and technical request information.

5. Storage and deletion

Files are processed temporarily in a container, without an object-storage archive. After this page receives all four result files, it requests deletion of the server task and files. Uncollected completed or failed task files are scheduled for deletion after 15 minutes (normally within another 30 seconds while the processor runs); container shutdown can remove them sooner. Processing has a 20-minute timeout. Cleanup can be delayed by outages. Closing or refreshing the page loses unsaved results. Operational logs and abuse-prevention counters are separate from these files.

6. Service providers and locations

The service is designed to use Cloudflare for website hosting, task coordination, temporary processing containers. Infrastructure providers process data to operate and secure the service. Processing may take place outside your country. We may disclose information when required by applicable law or necessary to address abuse or protect rights. We do not provide a public gallery of uploaded recordings or conversion results.

7. Your choices and rights

You can choose not to upload, clear your browser data, and download your results before they expire. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information, and to complain to a data protection authority. There is currently no account dashboard or self-service server-file deletion tool. An operator contact channel has not yet been published on this website.

8. Updates

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes to how recordings are used will be described before the new use begins.
